To apply for International Protection via WIPO, it is advisable for the customer to use their USPTO application as the basis for their international application.

This is because if trademark infringement is identified anywhere in the world, their trademark rights can be enforced by obtaining suspension orders against infringing domains, social media & e-commerce platforms most of which are subject to US jurisdiction.
